Liverpool
manager Brendan Rodgers is waiting to compete in Capital One Cup semi finals
with ex supervisor Jose Mourinho. Rodgers hopes Capital One Cup semi-final’s
win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night. The Premier League title
chances of the Reds were lost last season because of Chelsea defeat. Liverpool
were also defeated in November at Anfield but first-leg 1-1 draw of last week
has made their hopes alive. Rodgers said on the eve of the match it is about
playing teams but knowing Jose’s work and how talented he is, he enjoys the challenge.
The Red’s boss further said the last week’s game was
top-level game and they played well. He added Jose’s record proves he is a
world class manager which gives him edge and teams have to do the maximum to
get a result. Rodgers explained they respect the opponent team but they do not
fear in the game because they are playing well, working well and they can win
there. Chelsea’s agony would increase with Liverpool win after their home FA
Cup defeat to League One Bradford on Saturday.
